State Police Calls: Endangering Welfare of Children, PFA Violation, Harassment

VENANGO CO., Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police responded to the following calls:

DUI and Endangering the Welfare of Children in Cranberry Township

An incident of DUI and endangering the welfare of children occurred around 9:00 a.m. on April 29 on Education Drive, in Cranberry Township.

A known, 28-year-old Oil City woman was arrested for DUI of a controlled substance after PSP Franklin received several calls on an erratic driver who drove to the Cranberry Elementary School.

The suspect drove her 7-year-old son to school, as he had missed the school bus.

DUI and related charges are pending.

The name of the suspect was not released.

PFA Violation in Emlenton Borough

An incident of indirect criminal contempt occurred sometime between 6:00 p.m. on May 21 and 3:30 a.m. on May 22 on Center Street, in Emlenton Borough.

This crime occurred as 33-year-old Wade Hamilton Shaffer, Jr., of Emlenton, allegedly violated a Protection From Abuse order.

He was arraigned before District Judge Andrew F. Fish for violation of Indirect Criminal Contempt.

Unable to post $15,000.00 straight bail, he was lodged in the Venango County Jail.

Harassment in Richland Township

An incident of harassment occurred around 5:00 p.m. on April 25 at 541 County Line Road, in Richland Township.

Police say 23-year-old Kayla Fink, of Clarion, and 34-year-old Hugh Kunselman, of Emlenton, were allegedly engaged in a verbal argument and subjected each other to physical contact.

Both individuals will face a charge of Harassment before Magisterial District 28-3-04.
