State Police Calls: Franklin Man Uses Counterfeit $100 Bill, Wrestling Match Ends in Assault Charges

VENANGO CO., Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police responded to the following calls:

DUI in Polk

Around 3:15 a.m. on Tuesday, February 13, State Police received a call regarding a female individual passed out in her vehicle which was parked partially on Erie Street in Polk Borough.

Upon arrival, police determined that the individual was intoxicated and she was subsequently arrested for DUI.

Counterfeit Money in Cranberry Township

Around 12:02 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, a known Franklin man used a counterfeit $100.00 bill to make a purchase at World of Wheels in Cranberry Township, Venango County.

This case remains under investigation.

Assault in Cherrytree Township

Around 6:21 p.m. on Thursday, February 8, 37-year-old Travis John Strawbridge entered into a mutual wrestling match with a known juvenile. The wrestling match escalated and Strawbridge and the juvenile both suffered visible minor injuries.

At 10:03 p.m. on February 8, Strawbridge was arraigned before District Judge Matthew T. Kirtland on a third-degree misdemeanor simple assault charge.

He is free on $1,500.00 unsecured bail.

A juvenile allegation charging the known juvenile was filed through Venango County Court Supervision.
