State Police Calls: Harassment, Theft

VENANGO CO., Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police responded to the following calls:

Harassment in Cranberry Township

According to police, on Monday, July 23, an incident occurred as a known victim came into Seneca Lawn & Landscape to borrow a tool.

Police say while there, the victim entered into a verbal argument with an employee about the victim being fired in the past after working for the business for three days.

According to police, as the employee tried to leave for a job in Titusville, the victim got in his path. As the employee tried to go by the victim, the employee put out his arm and the victim fell down and claimed the employee assaulted him.

Theft, Bad Checks in Cranberry Township

Police say an occurred on September 29, 2017, as a known suspect passed a check to Cranberry Performance Plus for approximately $2,000.00 for body work performed on the suspect’s truck.

The victim deposited the check and learned it was written from a closed account. The victim has tried several times since September of 2017 to collect the money with negative results.

An investigation into this incident is ongoing.
