State Police Calls: Harassment, Thefts, DUI, Collision

state_policeVENANGO CO., Pa. (EYT) – Franklin-based State Police responded to the following calls:

Harassment in Sugarcreek Boro

Around 3:20 a.m. on November 26, a known, 36-year-old Oil City man physically assaulted a Franklin woman during a domestic assault on Park Avenue, in Sugarcreek Boro.

A non-traffic citation was filed against the man with District Judge Patrick E. Lowrey charging him with Harassment.

Retail Theft in Cranberry Township

A known, 25-year-old St. Petersburg woman under-rang items at the self checkout lines at Walmart on four separate occasions between September 26, 2015, and October 27, 2015.

Charges will be filed through Magisterial District Court 28-3-04.

Theft in Troy Township

An unknown perpetrator(s) removed a game camera, a deer blind, and a deer blind chair from a wooded area, 500 yards southeast of Newtontown Road, in Troy Township, Crawford County.

The incident occurred on November 10, 2015.

The total value of the items stolen is $280.00.

The victim is a 72-year-old man.

The investigation continues.

DUI Arrest in Cranberry Township

Around 6:20 a.m. on November 21, a known man was stopped for a vehicle code violation on Big Egypt Road, in Cranberry Township.

He was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance.

DUI and related charges are pending.

Vehicle vs Deer Collision in Plum Township

Around 7:32 a.m. on November 24, 41-year-old Beth A. Koffman, of Templeton, was traveling in a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 north on Wallaceville Road in Plum Township.

Her vehicle struck a deer that came onto the roadway.

Koffman was using a seat belt and was not injured.
