State Police Calls: Man Shows Up Drunk at Police Station and Gets DUI, Teens Arrested with Meth, Marijuana Pipes in Venango County

VENANGO CO., Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police responded to the following calls:

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia in Cherrytree Township

According to police, on Friday, January 11, a property manager of a known apartment building found a clear, glass pipe believed to be used for illegal drug use during an official eviction.

The incident remains under investigation.

Act 64 Violation in Oakland Township

Police say on Tuesday, January 22, a known homeowner contacted the Franklin-based State Police because a vehicle was blocking his driveway and had been for hours.

Upon their arrival, State Police troopers were able to wake the two occupants of the vehicle, who were identified as a 16-year-old female juvenile and an 18-year-old Oil City man.

According to police, during the incident, a marijuana pipe and methamphetamine pipe were both observed in plain view.

Following a search of the vehicle, both occupants were arrested.

Charges will be filed through Magisterial District Court 28-3-01.

DUI in Cranberry Township

According to police, around 3:42 a.m. on Wednesday, January 23, a known 39-year-old Grove City man arrived at the Franklin State Police barracks to provide a ride to a known female.

Upon the man’s arrival, Trooper Shiley made contact with him and determined him to be under the influence of alcohol.

The man was taken to UPMC Northwest for chemical testing. Charges will be filed pending the results of the test.
