State Police Calls: Signs Stolen, Water Drained from Swimming Pool

VENANGO CO., Pa. – Franklin-based State Police responded to the following incidents:

Theft in Sugarcreek Borough

State Police say a theft occurred sometime between 7 p.m. on October 16, and 3:30 p.m. on October 17, at a residence on Shaffer Run Road in Sugarcreek Borough.

Unknown actor(s) removed two “For Sale” signs and a bee house from the 65-year-old Reno male victim’s yard on Shaffer Run Road.

The unknown actor(s) fled the scene in an unknown direction by unknown means.

The total cost of the stolen items was $25.00.

Criminal Mischief in Cornplanter Township

State Police responded to a criminal mischief incident that occurred sometime between October 6 and October 13 along Oak Road in Cornplanter Township.

A 30-year-old Oil City female victim reported that someone intentionally damaged her above ground swimming pool by placing a half-inch hole in the steel wall and vinyl liner.

The hole was reported to be approximately 10 inches from the bottom and caused most of the water to drain from the pool.
