State Police Calls: Terroristic Threats, PFA Violation

VENANGO CO., Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police responded to the following calls:

PFA Violation

According to police, from Wednesday, February 21 through Monday, February 26, a female victim received numerous texts and phone calls from Adam Ryan Cochran, 34, of Oil City, in violation of an active Protection from Abuse (PFA). Cochran has been charged with indirect criminal contempt through Magisterial District Judge Patrick E Lowrey’s office.

Terroristic Threats in Oil City

Police say a 39-year-old female victim received indirect verbal threats from a known 31-year-old man through a “third-party telephone conversation” between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 25.

PSP is currently investigating the contents of the threats that were made. The investigation is ongoing.
