VENANGO CO., Pa. – Franklin-based State Police responded to the following incidents:

Theft in Irwin Township

State Police say the incident occurred sometime between 7:00 a.m. on July 16 and 11:00 a.m. on July 21 at a residence on Cokain Road in Irwin Township.

Police are investigating the theft of $700.00 in cash taken from the female victim’s bedroom dresser drawer.

Receiving Stolen Property, DUI in Irwin Township

State Police responded to a stolen property and DUI incident that occurred around 4:34 a.m. on July 21 along Interstate 80, near mile marker 29, in Irwin Township.

According to police, 28-year-old Tiesha Renee Jones was involved in a motor vehicle crash while traveling eastbound on Interstate 80.

“The vehicle being operated was found to be stolen out of Cleveland, Ohio,” police say.

“Jones was subsequently arrested for receiving stolen property, DUI, and Act 64 Violations,” according to police.

The passenger was also arrested for receiving stolen property, police say.

DUI and related charges pending.
