TIONESTA, Pa. (EYT) — An investigation is underway after human ashes were found scattered at a Tionesta area home.

Two residents of Tionesta — a 48-year-old woman and a 58-year-old man — told Marienville-based State Police that known individuals scattered human ashes onto a stone on their property along Grouse Lane in Farmington Township.

The incident occurred between October 25 at 9:00 a.m. and October 27 at 5:00 p.m.

The investigation is continuing.
