MARIENVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — An indecent assault investigation is underway at SCI-Forest correctional facility in Forest County.

According to Tpr. Weaver, Marienville-based State Police is investigating an incident in which an inmate has alleged that a corrections officer made indecent contact with him during a “pat-down search.”

The incident is alleged to have occurred on May 30 around 12:00 p.m.

Marienville-based State Police declined to release additional information, citing an active investigation.

Calls to SCI-Forest were not immediately returned.

The case remains under investigation.
