State Police Investigating Death of Rouseville Man

CHERRYTREE TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police are investigating the death of a Rouseville man that occurred last week in Cherrytree Township, Venango County.

State police are investigating a death that occurred at Oil Creek Family Campground on Shreve Road in Cherrytree Township.

The victim — a known, 58-year-old Rouseville man — was discovered deceased inside his tow-behind vehicle camper/trailer, due to an apparent prescription drug-related overdose.

According to police, there was a handwritten note near the victim.

At this time, the death is being ruled a suicide.

The incident occurred sometime between 4:29 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24, and 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 26.

The investigation is continuing.
