State Police Issue Sex Offender Notice in Oil City

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — Pennsylvania State Police have released a Megan’s Law Alert notifying residents that a registered sex offender has reported a residence in the Oil City area, Venango County.

The offender, 31-year-old Scott William Smith, reported a residence on Central Avenue in Oil City.

Smith is white, 6’5″, 180 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

He was convicted of Aggravated Indecent Assault on May 23, 2013.

His registration started on November 6, 2013.

It was last updated on December 15, 2016.

He is registered as a Sexually Violent Predator.

A Sexually Violent Predator is required to register for life.
