State Police Issue Sex Offender Notice in Oil City

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) – Pennsylvania State Police have released a Megan’s Law Alert notifying residents that a registered sex offender has reported an address in Oil City.

According to the PA State Megan’s Law website, Michael Jon Settlemire has reported a residence at 114 Traction Street, in Oil City, Venango County.

Settlemire is white, 63-years-old, and weighs approximately 165 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, Settlemire was convicted on April 28, 2000, of Sexual Conduct with a Minor.

Settlemire’s Megan Law registration began on July 19, 2017.

The registration was last updated on July 19, 2017.

Michael Settlemire also goes by the alias Michael Settlemeier.

Settlemire is not wanted by police.

He is registered as a Tier 1 sex offender, which requires 15 years registration.
