State Police: Oil City Man Flees Scene of One-Vehicle Crash in Sugarcreek Borough

SUGARCREEK, Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police say a one-vehicle crash occurred in Sugarcreek Borough.

According to police, around 4:17 a.m. on Wednesday, February 28, 30-year-old Dustin K. Cox, of Oil City, was operating a 2003 Ford Taurus, traveling west on 2nd Avenue near North 13th Street in Sugarcreek Borough.

He was traveling downhill when he rear-ended a 2011 Chevrolet Traverse legally parked on 2nd Avenue. He then fled the scene and was later identified.

Cox was not injured in the crash.

Cox’s vehicle sustained disabling damage to the front end and was towed from the scene by Venango Towing.

The parked vehicle sustained minor damage to the rear end.

Cox was cited for a traffic violation.
