State Police on the Hunt for Rouseville Man Accused of Stealing Vehicle

CRAWFORD CO., Pa. (EYT) — State Police are on the hunt for a Rouseville man who allegedly stole a vehicle and then led police on a high-speed chase on Thursday afternoon.

According to Corry-based State Police, 30-year-old Timothy A. McGarvie, of Rouseville, allegedly stole a vehicle from a Rome Township residence.

Following an investigation, a criminal complaint against McGarvie was filed in Magisterial District Judge Lincoln S. Zilhaver’s office, and a warrant was obtained for his arrest on the following charges:

– Theft By Unlawful Taking-Movable Property, Felony 3
– Receiving Stolen Property, Felony 3
– Fleeing or Attempting to Elude Officer, Felony 3

According to a published article on meadvilletribune.com, state troopers spotted the stolen vehicle, and police pursued the vehicle for approximately 10 miles until they lost sight of it.

When state police discovered the vehicle, it had crashed into a tree, and the driver had fled the scene. Evidence in the vehicle led police to believe the driver of the vehicle was McGarvie.
