State Police Release Details on Cranberry Crash

CRANBERRY TWP., Pa. (EYT) – State Police have released details on a November 26 two-vehicle crash in Cranberry Township, Venango County.

Franklin-based State Police say the accident happened when a vehicle operated by Katelynn D. Whitling, 18, of Seneca, pulled onto State Route 257 from a driveway.

Police say William A. Kilgore, 40, of Oil City, applied his brakes but failed to stop prior to hitting the left side of Whitling’s vehicle.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts and escaped injury.

Both vehicles were removed from the scene by Venango Towing.

Community Ambulance and Seneca Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.
