OAKLAND TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police say a two-vehicle crash occurred on State Route 417, in Oakland Township, Venango County.

According to police, 19-year-old Crystal L. Coon and 71-year-old Ronnie L. Foster, both of Franklin, were involved in the collision.

Police say around 8:15 a.m. on Friday, June 1, a 2004 Suzuki Aerio, driven by Coon, and a 2013 Toyota Camry, driven by Foster, were both traveling north on Route 417 toward Titusville.

Police say Foster noticed yard sale signs being put up and started to slow down to turn into the yard sale.

According to police, Coon failed to notice that the Camry was going to turn into the yard sale and ran into the rear of it.

After the initial impact, the Aerio went into the ditch.

Ronnie Foster was flown to UPMC Hamot for unknown injuries.

Coon and a passenger in Foster’s vehicle — 70-year-old Linda M. Foster, of Franklin — were not injured.

All occupants were using seat belts.

Coon was charged with a traffic violation.

Community Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene by Stambaugh’s Towing.

The above report was released to exploreVenango.com on Friday, May 8, 2018.
