State Police Remind Drivers to Drive Responsibily this Easter

The Pennsylvania State Troopers want to remind motorists of the increased effort put forward during this Easter Holiday.

Troopers will be targeting aggressive drivers as well as motorists driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol.

During the 2013 Easter holiday driving period Pennsylvania State Police investigated 455 crashes resulting in two deaths and 160 injuries.

Troopers also issued 5,563 speeding citations; charged 321 people with driving under the influence,; cited 550 individuals for not wearing their seat belts; and ticketed 63 motorists for not securing children in safety seats.

State Police would like to remind every to make this Easter holiday a safe and happy holiday.

Slow down, buckle up and drive sober, don’t get pulled over.
