State Police Respond to Two Crashes in Venango Conty

VENANGO CO., Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police released the details of two recent crashes in Venango County.

Cherrytree Township Crash

According to police, around 4:43 p.m. on Thursday, January 10, a 2016 Nissan Frontier traveling north on Cherrytree Road began to slide on the snow-covered road. The vehicle slid into the ditch on the east side of the road and rolled onto its side, coming to rest facing west.

Police say the vehicle was put back onto its wheels by Venango Towing and was able to be driven from the scene, though the driver requested the vehicle be towed due to not wanting to drive at that time.

The driver’s name was not released.

Cranberry Township Crash

According to police, around 6:34 p.m. on Tuesday, January 8, a 2014 GM truck backed into a 2014 Ford Explorer that was legally parked in the trafficway at the BHS Medical Center.

There were not injuries reported and both vehicles were able to be driven from the scene.

The names of those involved were not released.
