MONROE TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — A search is underway in the Clarion area for a man wanted in connection with an on-going criminal investigation.

According to a release issued late Thursday morning by Clarion-based State Police, Jamey Lee Fait, 39, last known address Sigel, is wanted on drug-related charges.

Anyone who sees Fait should call 911 immediately.

Authorities scoured the Clarion area for Fait Thursday morning but were unable to locate him.

A State Police representative told exploreClarion.com that they believe Fait has left the area.

“We are confident the individual has left the area, there is no danger to the community and we see no immediate threat,” the representative said.

As a result of the search, Clarion Area Elementary and Clarion Area High School were placed on lockdown around 10 a.m. The lockdowns were lifted around 11:30 a.m.

Superintendent Dr. Michael Stahlman says the lockdowns were precautionary, and students were not in any danger.

State Police have not released the exact charges against Fait is facing. A check of online court documents did not reveal any recent charges against Fait.
