State Police Seeking Information of Theft of 13 Guns in Oakland Township

OAKLAND TWP., Pa. (EYT) — State police are asking the public for any information on the theft of 13 guns and a compound bow from a residence located in Oakland Township, Venango County.

According to Franklin-based State Police, the burglary occurred sometime between 2:00 p.m. on January 2 and 5:00 p.m. on January 4 at a residence located along State Route 417.

Police say an unknown perpetrator(s) entered the house and removed 13 firearms and a compound bow from a gun cabinet.

The following is a list of the stolen property:

– Matthews Switchback Compound Bow

Guns:

– Smith & Wesson or Swaziland, 50 Cal.
– Howa Golden Bear Model, Citadel with 30-06 scope
– Winchester 308 Carbine Rifle
– Savage 223, Synthetic Stock
– 20 Gauge
– Remington 22 Long Rifle
– Marlin Govt. Lever Bushnell, Bone Collector scope 3-9
– Old Style 44 Magnum Rifle, Bushnell scope
– 16 Gauge, no buttstock or trigger guard
– 22 Long Rifle, no scope
– 22 Long Rifle
– 22 Magnum
– Old Russian Military Style Weapon

The investigation is ongoing.
