VENUS, Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police conducted a missing person investigation early Thursday morning.

According to police, 44-year-old Burton David Porter, of Venus, was reported missing by his spouse.

Police say Porter left work around 11:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 4, and was observed at the north side Country Fair in Oil City.

According to police, Porter requested a known female to text his wife that he had to come into town and get some gas, and he would be home soon.

Porter was operating a 2002 black Honda Accord with an unknown PA registration. The vehicle has dog paw print stickers on the rear window and an “I Love Dogs” sticker also on the rear window.

An unknown passenger was observed in his vehicle.

Porter has not reported to work at Allegheny Wood Products for the last two days, police say.

He is described as 5’9″ tall, 205 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.

Please report any sighting, contact or information on Porter’s whereabouts to PSP Franklin at 814-676-6596.
