State Police Seeking Slippery Rock Shooting Suspect

generic_graphic_crime_generic_shooting_police_tapeSLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. (EYT) – Butler-based State Police are investigating an incident that occurred Monday night involving an aggravated assault on Harmony Road, in Slippery Rock Township, Butler County.

According to police, around 10:30 p.m. on May 15, a 23-year-old Slippery Rock man suffered non-life threatening injuries from a gunshot wound that occurred during a physical altercation.

The suspect brandished a handgun and fired one shot in close proximity to the victim, striking him in the side. After being shot, the victim was able to knock the suspect down and flee the scene, police say.

The suspect is described as a large built, white man, approximately 6’5″ to 6’6″ tall, wearing camouflage pants and a white t-shirt.
