EDINBORO, Pa. — Troop E’s first “Sunny Day Camp” will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2017.

Registration will begin at 9:00 a.m.

The camp will run from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. rain or shine. It’s a one-day event, and it will be held on the campus of Edinboro University. The Pennsylvania State Police have partnered with Erie Kiwanis and Edinboro University to make this event possible.

This event is an inclusive camp, which is open to any ‘Special Needs’ child or adult in the Troop E area, which consists of Warren, Crawford, Venango, and Erie counties.

Morning activities include an ‘Opening Ceremony’ and static displays of First-Responder vehicles.

Afternoon activities include a variety of events of various skill-levels, and each participant will select two. Each activity will be 30 minutes in duration, with one rotation. Following the afternoon competitions, a ‘Closing Ceremony’ will take place during which, each participant will be named and presented with a certificate.

The concluding activity will be t-shirt signing and photos where participants can have Troopers, volunteers and fellow participants sign their shirts and take pictures to commemorate the day.

This camp is free to the participants and will include lunch and a camp t-shirt. All participants will be required to be accompanied by a parent or caregiver during the entire camp. This camp gives the participants the opportunity to interact with law enforcement in a positive atmosphere while creating memories that will last forever.
