SANDYCREEK TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A teen is behind bars after he allegedly assaulted a staff member on Thursday, January 11, at a youth facility in Sandycreek Township, Venango County.

According to court documents, 18-year-old Nasir Azim Dover, of Philadelphia, was charged with the following offenses:

According to the criminal complaint, Franklin-based State Trooper Fetterman responded to the facility for a report of a staff member who was assaulted by a student who was there under a court order.

When Tpr. Fetterman spoke with the victim, he saw visible injuries to his right facial/orbital area of his head. The victim said the altercation occurred when Dover asked where his clothing was while he was in the GED classroom. When the victim tried to remove Dover from the classroom, Dover hit him several times in the face and kneed him in the groin. The victim was taken to UPMC Northwest in Seneca for treatment of his injuries, the complaint states.

When Tpr. Fetterman spoke with Dover, he allegedly said he didn’t know how many times he struck the victim, but admitted an altercation had occurred after he tried to ask the victim about his clothing, the complaint continues.
