Sue Ann Amato, 71, of Clarion, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at her residence of natural causes.

She was born on March 28, 1946 in Clarion.

The daughter of the late Robert and Hazel Wensel Neal.

Sue graduated in 1964 from Orange Park High School, Orange Park Florida.

She retired after working several years at Penn Traffic “BILO” in Clarion as a cashier and most recently worked at the Clarion Free Library.

Sue is of the Methodist Faith.

She enjoyed listening to music, was an avid reader, going to dinner monthly with her high school friends and most of all spending time with her grandchildren, family and close friends.

Sue is survived by her two daughters; Amy Clark and husband Robert of Sigel and Jodi Grolemund and husband Dave of Limestone; two granddaughters; Ashlyn Nugent of Brookville and Madison Nugent of Clarion, and three step grandchildren.

She is also survived by her siblings; Audene Kent of Florida, Pat Fuller of Ohio, Gary “Tub” Neal and wife Sara of Clarion, Richard “Dick” Neal of Ohio, Terry Neal and wife Carol of Ohio; along with numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.

Sue is preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, siblings; Clair ‘Mike” Neal, Shirley Crosson, Joann Judy, Max Neal, Maralyn Crews, Ronald Neal, Wendell “Butch” Neal and Alma Hetrick.

Family will receive friends Sunday, August 20, 2017 from 1pm to 3pm at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home in Clarion.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3pm in the Funeral Home.

Interment will be in the Clarion Cemetery.
