Sugarcreek Police Searching for Driver in Allegheny Boulevard Hit-and-Run

investigationFRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) – Sugarcreek Police are investigating a Wednesday evening hit-and-run crash on Allegheny Boulevard.

Police say the crash occurred around 6:29 p.m. when 23-year-old Jocelyn Garris, of Reno, was traveling north on Allegheny Boulevard and passing a crash that had just occurred.

Garris’ vehicle, traveling at approximately 25 MPH in the passing lane, was struck by a pickup truck as she attempted to go around the accident.

After impact, the truck fled the scene.

It is described as a Chevy or GMC pickup truck with a cap. The truck is believed to red or maroon in color.

Police the front driver side of the pickup may have sustained damage.

Garris was transported to UPMC for injuries of an unknown severity.

Reno VFD and Community Ambulance assisted at the scene.
