JEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) – After yesterday’s unsuccessful search for Susan Bachman, her family is asking Pennsylvania residents to continue circulating a missing person’s poster.

According to FindSusanBachman’s website, a possible sighting of Susan Bachman occurred yesterday around 3:00 a.m.

The sighting took place on a dirt road in a heavily forested area. The location is approximately nine miles from where Susan was last seen on Friday. Members of Track & Trail Search and Rescue, Inc., and search dogs searched the area but did not pick up the scent in the area of the sighting, according to sources.

More than 60 volunteers, including the members of Track & Trail Search and Rescue, participated in the noon search for Susan, sources say. The search was unsuccessful, according to sources.

On Friday, July 4, around 8:30 am, 37-year-old Susan Bachman, of Centre County, jumped out of a car near mile marker 77 on Interstate 80 West. Authorities say the car was travelling approximately 65 MPH. She survived the bail-out and disappeared into the woods next to the highway.

Susan’s family is asking Pennsylvania residents to print out the missing person’s poster and put it up in their local gas stations. The poster is available on FindSusanBackman’s website https://www.findsusanbachman.com/.
