| June 23, 2012

Handcuffed After an extensive three day investigation, police have made an arrest in the shooting of a 20-year-old Oil City man.

Oil City Police, with the assistance of Polk Police Department and PA State Police, arrested 32-year-old Nathaniel Curtis Conn, of Oil City, in connection with the shooting of 20-year-old Shane Oneal Davidson at an apartment on Beach Street in Oil City.

The arrest was made at a business in Barkeyville on Friday around 8:00 p.m., police said.

Police believe Davidson, who was alive but in critical condition as of Wednesday, was shot in the back of the head twice due to his involvement in drug trafficking in Oil City.

Conn was charged with one count of Criminal Attempt to Commit Criminal Homicide and two counts of Aggravated Assault.

Conn was arraigned in front of District Judge Dinberg and placed in the Venango County Prison in lieu of $500,000 bail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 27.
