Sylvia L. “Gram” (Coffaro) Kuhn

Sylvia L. “Gram” (Coffaro) Kuhn, 67, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on August 18, 2014 due to an automobile accident.

She was born August 10, 1947 in Knox, Pennsylvania to the late Granville Bell and Belvie (Hopper) Bell.

Mrs. Kuhn was a graduate of Keystone High School. She worked as a waitress for over 30 years at Quaker State Truck Plaza in Emlenton, PA. Mrs. Kuhn also work at Eat-N-Park on New Castle Road and retired from New Haven Court in 2009. She was an active member of the Butler Assembly of God Church. Mrs. Kuhn was a member of the Acts Choir and enjoyed going to church, home groups, Bible studies and spending time with her family and church friends. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting events. Mrs. Kuhn participated in the Billy Graham Crusade last weekend in Pittsburgh where she acted as a counselor. One of her greatest joys came from inviting two people to the event where they accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior!

Mrs. Kuhn is survived by one son, Joe Coffaro and his wife Denise of Thousand Oaks, CA; one daughter, Sharon (Coffaro) Vernick and her husband Bob of Butler, PA; five grandchildren, Bobby & Timmy Vernick and Samantha, Hunter & Sophia Coffaro; three sisters, Fern Bigley of Clarion, PA, Hazel Slaughenhoupt of Bruin, PA and Helen Caylor of Clarion, PA; and a number of nieces & nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Kuhn, whom she married in 1999, and who passed away August 9, 2003.

Friends will be received Wednesday, August 20, 2014 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, August 21, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Thompson – Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, PA.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 22, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Butler Assembly of God Church, 105 Purvis Road, Butler, PA 16001 with Pastor George P. Miller and Pastor Stephen A. Noullet officiating.

Burial will take place in the Woodland Cemetery, Grove City, PA.
