Pleasantville Area Man Life-Flighted to Pittsburgh Hospital Following Explosion

Oil Creek Township, Pa. (EYT) — Sources say around 12:30 p.m. on November 24, a Pleasantville area man suffered severe burns in an explosion that occurred at his home on Kunz Road in Oil Creek Township, Venango County.

According to sources, 52-year-old Glenn Mumford was operating a cutting torch near two cars when a fuel tank on one of the cars exploded, burning his face severely.

He was life-flighted to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, sources say.

His condition is unknown.

Pleasantville Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene.
