SUGARCREEK BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) — Police have released the details of a one-vehicle crash that occurred in Sugarcreek Borough early last Wednesday morning.

According to police, around 7:20 a.m. on Wednesday, March 14, a 16-year-old male from Franklin was operating a 2005 Chevrolet Cavalier, traveling south on Meadville Pike toward the intersection of Rocky Grove Avenue and Grant Street in Sugarcreek Borough.

The driver was traveling approximately 35 MPH, going downhill, and approaching a green light at the intersection. He saw the light change to yellow and applied the brakes, but then lost control of the vehicle as the brakes locked up and the car slid off the right side of the road. The driver was wearing his seatbelt and was not injured.

The vehicle was towed by Lowry’s Auto Body and Towing.
