Teen Leads Police on 100 MPH Chase in Warren County

WARREN COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) — A 19-year-old man is facing felony fleeing and related charges following a high-speed chase on March 24 in Southwest Township, Warren County.

Warren-based State Police Trooper Heverly said Garrett James Anderson, of Irvine, Pa., was traveling on Enterprise Road with three passengers in his vehicle around 5:50 p.m. when he led police on a pursuit at speeds in excess of 100 MPH.

When Anderson was apprehended, he was found to be driving under the influence and had a small amount of marijuana in his possession.

The following charges were filed against Anderson:

  • Fleeing or Attempting to Elude Officer, Felony 3
  • Marijuana-Small Amt Personal Use, Misdemeanor
  • DUI: Gen Imp/Inc of Driving Safely — 1st Off, Misdemeanor
  • Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Misdemeanor
  • Use/Poss Of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor
  • Exceed Max Speed Limit Established By 14 MPH, Summary
  • Depositing Waste On Hwy, Summary
  • Careless Driving, Summary
  • Reckless Driving, Summary

He faces a preliminary hearing on April 12 at 2 p.m. before Magisterial District Judge Laura S. Bauer.
