Temporary Closure of Warren County Game Lands Road Announced

| October 25, 2019

FRANKLIN, Pa. – The Pennsylvania Game Commission recently announced a State Game Land’s road in Warren County normally open to public travel be closed temporarily to vehicle traffic, effective immediately.

“Every year, the Pennsylvania Game Commission opens certain state game lands roads for public travel so hunters have increased access to remote sections of these public hunting grounds,” Game Commission Northwest Region Director Richard T. Cramer said. “It’s unfortunate, but sometimes we need to close a road for public safety.”

Dunham Siding Road on Game Lands 29 now is closed from game lands entrance to Chapman Dam Road, a stretch of road that is approximately 3.3 miles long. The closure is needed to address erosion concerns for the bridge over Davis Run; it no longer can support vehicle traffic. Land Management Group Supervisor George J. Miller hopes to have bridge repairs completed by the summer of 2020.
