Terrance L. McFetridge, 71, of 609 Central Avenue Oil City, PA., died at 7:45 P.M. Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017, in his home after an extended illness.

Born Oct. 15, 1946, in Oil City, PA., he was the son of Marion L. Lutz McFetridge and the late Samuel D. McFetridge.

Terry was a member of the National Guard serving from 1964-1971.

He had worked many years at Continental Can Co., Venango Catholic High School and for Luther Place.

He was a member of St. Stephen’s Church in Oil City.

Terry enjoyed art and especially photography. He had written articles for the Erie Times, the Pennsylvania Game & Fish, and Woodworking Magazine.

He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, hunting, and fishing.

He loved to go camping and was involved with the Boy Scouts as a youth and later as a leader, and participated in the Order of the Arrow. While a scout he received the Ad Altari Dei Award.

Terry enjoyed carpentry and finish work, loved all children and liked to travel.

He was one of many who helped convert the Caboose in Titusville into a Motel.

Survivors include his mother, Marion L. McFetridge of Oil City, a son Sean C. McFetridge & his friend Dessie Spencer of Houston, PA, a grandson, Brian McFetridge and his brothers and sisters Donald F. McFetridge & his wife Kim of Pleasantville, Judy A. Linch & her husband Ken of Oil City, Michael L. McFetridge & his wife Jerrilyn of Franklin, Patrick L. McFetridge & his wife Marge of Franklin, Nancy T. McFetridge & her friend Charles Majesky of Oil City, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is survived by a special friend, Christine Cannon.

He is also survived by close friends; Jay Bickel, Jim Amato, and Mr. & Mrs. Robert Fugate

He was preceded in death by his father, a daughter Julia C. McFetridge, his mother-in-law and father-in-law Joseph & Kathryn Cannon
and his grandparents Samuel H. & Ruby E. McFetridge.

Friends will be received from 10:00 A.M.-12 Noon on Saturday in the Reinsel Funeral Home.
