Theodore “TC” Collins

Thumbnail[1]Theodore “TC” Collins, 61, of 723 13th Street, Franklin, died at 11:35 p.m. Wednesday, September 30, at UPMC Northwest Medical Center in Seneca.

Born March 18, 1954 in Franklin, he was the son of Roosevelt Lee and Callie H. Collins.

Mr. Collins was Protestant in faith. Mr. Collins was retired from Polk Center, where he had worked as a dietary aide. He was also a longtime construction worker, worked for the cable company, the welfare department and played the piano for the Public Broadcast Channel. TC traveled with the Drifter’s music band for a short time and had a band of his own. He was an accomplished musician, with jazz being his favorite music mode. He loved the Steelers football team, cooking, being out in nature, and spending time with family and friends.

TC is survived by his son, DuBre Harris, and his wife, Shana, of Tulsa, OK; his son, Greg Hoover, and his wife, Sylvia, of Tucson, AZ; and his daughter, Kimberley Cable, and her husband, John, of Phoenix, AZ. Mr. Collins is also survived by two sisters; Ermagene Graves of Franklin, PA and Patricia Carney and husband Clifton of Bethel, North Carolina. A brother Richard “Rocky” Collins of Franklin, PA. TC is survived by many grandchildren.

Also surviving are several nieces and nephews; LaVonne “P-Nut” Clark and her husband, George, of Narberth, PA; Valerie Martin of Franklin; Edward Martin of Franklin; Charmayne Brown of Bethel, NC; Sharon Carney of Bethel, NC; and his special nephew Richard “Buzzy” Collins of Franklin.

In addition to his parents, TC was preceded in death by his sister, Cynthia Lorraine Collins.

Family and friends will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., located at 1315 Chestnut Street in Franklin, on Monday, October 5th from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 6th at the funeral home at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at the Franklin Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, PA Division, Inc., PO Box 896, Hershey, PA 17033-0896.
