Thomas C. Shields, 50, of Gowanda, New York, formerly of Rossiter, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2018, at his home.

Tom was born October 14, 1967, in Hastings, a son of David L. Shields of Rossiter and the late Marion “Lori” (White) Shields.

Tom was a Union Laborer for many years working many construction sites. He loved spending time at deer camp hunting and fishing and having a good time with his family and friends. He absolutely loved dining out and eating lobster with his friends.

In addition to his father David, he is survived by his stepson, Michael Shelton of Georgia, and his beloved step grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, Lee Shields of Morgantown, WV, one sister, Theresa Kensel and husband Joseph of N. Collins, NY, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 8, 2018, at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 9, 2018, at the funeral home with Lieutenants Mr. and Mrs. Carter.
