Thomas Clinton Guntrum, age 77, of Rimersburg, PA, passed away Saturday, September 29, 2012 at the Clarion Hospital surrounded by his family.

He was born in Carwick, PA on July 11, 1935, the son of Andrew Oliver and Minnie Elizabeth (Croyle) Guntrum.

Tom was born and raised and lived his whole life in Rimersburg. He was a member of the Carwick Wesleyan Church. He married Donna Mae Craig on July 21, 1956; they were blessed with 56 years of marriage. Tom was previously employed with Eccles Nursery in Rimersburg and Skinner Trucking of New Bethlehem prior to starting his own business, Tom’s Auto Center. He proudly served the area for many years before retiring in 2006.

Tom was a hard worker known for his kind and gentle nature. He had the ability to fix anything, and took great pleasure in just tinkering around with his hands on any project, as long as it was done his way. He enjoyed hunting in his younger years but especially liked just swinging on the outside swing at home. His biggest joy in life was his family; they have fond memories of their camping excursions together. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Donna M. (Craig) Guntrum; two sons, Rev. Gary Guntrum and his wife Pam, of Rimersburg and Terry Guntrum and his wife Rhonda of New Bethlehem; his daughter, Sandi Earley and her husband, Scott of Rimersburg; ten grandchildren, Joshua Guntrum and friend, Jennifer Jones, Joseph Guntrum, Steven Earley and his wife, Natasha, Karlee Guntrum, Shawn Earley and fiancé Tara Polka, and Sarah, Quinton, Olivia, Lashara, and Christian Earley; and his three sisters, Mabel Yount, Pauline Wiant and her husband William, Sr., and Maxine Corle, all of Rimersburg.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents; two grandchildren, Brandon Scott Earley and Tiffani Marie Earley; and one brother, Bruce Guntrum and one sister, Betty Murray.

Family and friends will be received from 2-4PM and 6-8PM on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at the Carwick Weslyan Church, 163 Carwick Rd., Rimersburg, PA. Additional visitation will be held from 10AM until the time of funeral services at 11AM at the church on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 with the Reverend Charles Williamson officiating.

Burial will immediately follow services.
