Thomas MarshallThomas E. Marsh, 79, of Oil City, PA. died peacefully at 2:25 A.M. Saturday April 29, 2017 in his home after an extended illness.

Born April 2, 1938 in Rouseville, PA., he was the son of the late Howard E. Marsh & Helen A. Wygant Marsh.

Tom attended Rouseville, Central Ave., Plumer Schools and Oil City High School.

He had served as a member of the National Guard.

He was married on Sept. 21, 1956 in the Plumer Presbyterian Church to the former Barbara M. Fink, and she survives.

Mr. Marsh had worked at various places over the years, as a truck driver for Pennzoil, Louis Kraft and retiring from Advantage Tank Lines.

Tom had attended the Plumer Presbyterian Church and also the Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He was a former member of the Moose Club and a lifelong member of the Cornplanter Fire Hall.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by six children and their spouses, Thomas Marsh & his wife Marjorie of Polk, Shirley Kostek & her husband Tom of Oil City, Penny Bryan & her husband Mark of North Carolina, Lisa Detar & her husband Dale of Oil City, Sally Buechner & her husband Jeffrey of Oil City, and Troy Marsh & his wife Mandy of Oil City.

In addition, he is survived by his grandchildren, Zachary& Andy Marsh, Melody Mankus, Josiah Kostek, Jamie Amos, Sean Bryan, Alisha Fischli, Scott & Kyle Buechner, Kaitlin and Troy Marsh; as well as, 12 great grandchildren.

He is also survived by a brother, Howard W. Marsh of Clearwater; and a sister, Ann Irwin of West Hickory.

There will be no viewing or visitation.

Interment will be in Shaw Farm Cemetery.
