Thomas James ThompsonThomas James “T.J.” Thompson, age 50, of Knox, passed away at his home after being stricken with a sudden illness on Sunday evening, March 5, 2017.

Born August 15, 1966 in Clarion, he is a son of John C. and Nancy S. Nulph Thompson of Leeper.

He is a graduate of the North Clarion High School and was employed by UPS as a driver.

T.J. married the former Stacey Lewis of Knox on June 24, 1989 and she survives.

He was a member of the Knox United Methodist Church, the Antler Club of Lucinda and the Teamsters RS Local 538.

In addition to his parents and wife, T.J. is survived by two sons: Brady Thomas Thompson and Brandon Alenglen Thompson, both of Knox; three brothers: Timothy Thompson (Beverly) of West Palm Beach, Florida; Jeffery Thompson (Michael) of Long Island, New York and John Thompson (Wendy) of Leeper.

He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Glenna Lewis of Knox; a sister-in-law, Stephanie Best (Jack) of Knox and numerous nieces and nephews.

T.J. was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Allen Lewis, of Knox.

Family and friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2017 and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at the William N. Rupert Mortuary, Inc., 430 Mendenhall Avenue, Knox.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 9, 2017 at the Knox United Methodist Church, 628 W. Railroad Street, Knox with the Reverend David Coul, pastor of the church, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Scotch Hill Union Cemetery, Farmington Township, Clarion County.

Memorial contributions may be made in the name of Thomas James Thompson to the Antler Club of Lucinda, 231 Sunset Drive, Lucinda, PA 16235.
