Thomas “Tom” Philip King, 73, of New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away in New Orleans on Sunday, May 20, 2018.

Tom was born in Oil City, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Oil City’s St. Joseph High School and earned his degree in Theology and Franciscan Studies with a minor in Philosophy from St. Bonaventure University in Erie, Pennsylvania.

Tom was employed in the New Orleans banking industry for many years and was most recently a Manager in the Human Resources department of Hibernia National Bank. After retirement, he worked as a New Orleans area realtor for 19 years.

He loved his four children, cooking for his loved ones, and the new leaves in the spring. He was the ground under our feet and the sun in our solar system. He was loved dearly and he will be deeply missed.

Tom is survived by his wife of 23 years, Jolynn Huntley King; daughters, Maria Elena Lee, MiaRose King, and Julie J. King; son, Thomas Philip King, Jr.; son-in-law, Joe D. Lee; grandson, Mason Douglas Lee; granddaughter, Sophie Elena Lee; nieces, Marci Ertola and Marissa Ertola McFarland (Gary McFarland); dear friends, Sharon A. Robinson, and Michael J. Patrykus; and former wife, Dolores K. King.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Rose Clesi King; his father, Thomas Henry King; and his sister, Nancy King Delo.

A Memorial Visitation will be held at L.A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Blvd., Kenner, Louisiana on Saturday, June 9, 2018, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
