Three Dead, Four Injured in Crawford County Crash

CRAWFORD COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) – Three people were killed in a two-vehicle crash Friday evening near Adamsville, Crawford County.

State Police said the accident happened around 6:10 p.m. at the intersection of Atlantic Lake Road and Adamsville Road, just south of Conneaut Lake.

Terry R. Bidwell, 67, of Titusville, was traveling south on Atlantic Lake Road when his vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign at the roadway’s intersection with Adamsville Road.

Bidwell’s 2004 Mercury Monterey struck a 2016 Ford F-150 operated by Brad A. Miller, 57, of Hartstown.

Poice said Bidwell’s vehicle then collided with a utility pole before rolling onto its roof.

Miller’s vehicle traveled into a ditch before rolling over.

Bidwell and passenger – Alan Wengerd, age unknown, of Spartansburg – were ejected from the vehicle.

They were both pronounced dead at the scene by the Crawford County Coroner’s office.

A second passenger – Laura Wengerd, age unknown, also of Spartansburg – was transported to Meadville Medical Center where she was pronounced dead a short time later.

Three other passengers in Bidwell’s vehicle were transported to Meadville Medical Center for treatment of unknown injuries.

None of the occupants in Bidwell’s vehicle were wearing a safety belt.

Miller, who was wearing a safety belt, was also taken to Meadville Medical Center for treatment of unknown injuries.
