“All three individuals are in custody,” said Marienville-based State Police Trooper Watters in a statement issued late Tuesday evening.

Police say the escape occurred at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning.

The escapees allegedly stole a 2000 Crown Victoria belonging to a 53-year-old Marienville man at a residence on South Forest Street.

The vehicle was then involved in a hit-and-run crash along Interstate 80 near mile marker 199 in Union County, according to police.

It’s unclear where the escapees fled following the accident.

Specific information on how and where the individuals were apprehended has not yet been released.
