Three Juveniles Escape from Juvenile Facility; Suspects Involved in Hit and Run with Stolen Vehicle

imageedit__6967784125-e1489942195121FOREST CO., Pa. (EYT) – Marienville-based State Police say an escape occurred early Sunday morning at Abraxas 1 Juvenile Facility in Jenks Township, Forest County.

PSP Marienville station is investigating an incident in which three known juveniles escaped the Abraxas facility around 1:30 a.m.

The escapees are believed to have made their way to the village of Marienville where they stole a 2000 Crown Victoria belonging to a 53-year-old Marienville man.

The vehicle was subsequently involved in a hit and run crash along I-80 near mile marker 199, according to police.

The investigation continues.
