OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) – Three juvenile males escaped from Pathways Adolescent Center in Oil City Sunday afternoon.

Oil City Police say the juveniles escaped around 12:30 p.m. They were apprehended near the Wye Bridge on Oil City’s south side around 1 p.m.

Police say one of the juveniles has been charged with one count each of Escape and Flight to Avoid Apprehension (related to his detention in Pathways Adolescent Center on multiple forcible sex crimes). The originating charges were filed by Foster Township Police Department in McKean County in connection with an incident in which he was charged as an adult.

Police say he was turned over to the McKean County Sheriff’s Office.

The other two juveniles were transported back to Pathways Adolescent Center.

Police say the investigation will continue as possible drug related offenses may be filed against another juvenile male who aided and abetted the three escapees.
