UPDATE: Three Face Felony Charges After Shots Fired at Oil City House

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) – The Oil City Police Department have arrested two men and a woman in connection with the alleged shooting of a residence that occurred around 1:36 a.m. on June 24 in the 300 block of East Third Street.

On June 29 around 1:18 p.m., officers located a vehicle in the Thorne’s Market parking lot on East Second Street. Police suspected the vehicle was connected to the shooting.

Officers conducted an investigation and several interviews and were able to gather information in order to make arrests in the case.

Arrested subsequent to locating the vehicle were Kaiir Jabril Bazemore, 22, of 401 Mitchell Avenue, Butler Pa., and a short time later, Devyn S. McLaughlin, 19, of 406 North Street Apt. #1, Oil City, Pa.

Crystal Kinnear, 25, of Oil City was also arrested in connection with the incident.

According to Chief Wenner, Kinnear was driving the vehicle that was involved in the alleged shooting.

Chief Wenner told exploreVenango.com that the shooting stemmed from illegal activities in and around the 300 block of East Third Street.

Bazemore, McLaughlin, and Kinnear face the following charges:

  • Conspiracy to Commit the Discharge of a Firearm into an Occupied Structure, Felony
  • Discharge of a Firearm into an Occupied Structure, Felony
  • Aggravated Assault and Weapons Violations, Felony

All three suspects were arraigned in front of District Judge Lowery and committed to the Venango County Jail in lieu of bail.

No other information was released.
