Timothy D. Shaffer, 59, of Clarion, died Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at his home.

Born on December 4, 1957, in Brookville, he was the son of Dean C. and Peggy L. (Baker) Shaffer.

Tim graduated from C-L High School in 1976. He worked at the Clarion Walmart as a maintenance worker. He was a member of the Clarion # 3807 Fraternal Order of Eagles.

He is survived by his mother, Peggy L. Shaffer of Fairmount City, five sisters, Jacklyn L. Painter and her husband Jim of Limestone, Amy J. Beckwith and her husband John of Clarion, Becky S. Harriger and her husband Mike of Sligo, Judy K. Shaffer of Clarion, and Trudy R. Reinsel and her husband Dave of Frogtown, and two brothers, Michael Shaffer and his wife Leslie of Salem, Oregan and Andrew K. Shaffer of Butler. He is also survived by fourteen nieces and nephews whom he loved, Jessica, Jolene, Justin, Amanda, Nathan, Brandon, Rochelle, Tyler, Raeanne, Tristen, Allison, Owen, Celia, and Jadeanne and twelve great nieces and nephews.

Tim was preceded in death by his father, Dean C. Shaffer and a brother, Carl S. Shaffer.

Visitation will be on Friday, September 29, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn.

The funeral service will be on Saturday, September 30, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Randy Evans officiating.

Interment will be in the Squirrel Hill Cemetery, Porter Township, Clarion County.
