WASHINGTON TWP., Pa. (EYT) – State Police have filed criminal charges against a Tionesta man accused of assaulting a woman in Washington Township, Clarion County.

Brian J. Schill, 41, of Tionesta, is accused of physically assaulting a 26-year-old woman on December 28 at a Camp Hill Road residence.

According to a criminal complaint filed at Magisterial District Judge Timothy P. Schill’s office, the victim told Marienville-based State Police Trooper Whisner that she engaged in an argument with Schill “over a phone charger” on December 28.

Police say the victim admitted that she “inadvertently struck Schill on the head with the charger, while she was attemping to show it to him.”

During an interview with police, the victim said “(Schill) put his hands on me and grabbed the scarf I was wearing, pulled the scarf, began choking me and (dragged) me through the house while I was being choked.”

The criminal complaint states the victim told police that Schill also “hit her knees on the ground while being dragged, causing scrapes to both of her knees and pain in her neck.”

According to the criminal complaint, Schill then allegedly dragged her outside of the residence and told her to leave.

Schill was subsequently charged with the following offenses:

  • Simple Assault, Misdemeanor 2
  • Harassment — Subject Other to Physical Contact, Summary

Court documents indicate Schill was placed in the Clarion County Jail after failing to post $1,000 cash bail.

Schill faces a preliminary hearing on January 12 before Judge Schill.
