Tionesta Man Accused of Sending Explicit Photo, Lewd Facebook Messages to Teen Girl Faces Preliminary Hearing on Tuesday

CLARION CO., Pa. (EYT) — A Tionesta man who allegedly sent an explicit photo and lewd messages to a 14-year-old girl on Facebook is facing a preliminary hearing on Tuesday, November 28.

According to court documents, the hearing for 29-year-old Raymond Anthony Silvis, of Tionesta, will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday in front of Magisterial District Judge Amy Long Turk on the following charges:

– Unlawful Contact With Minor – Obscene and Other Sexual Materials and Performances, Felony 3
– Display Obscene/Sexual Materials, Felony 3
– Unlawful Contact With Minor – Sexual Offenses, Felony 3
– Corruption of Minors, Misdemeanor 1
– Indecent Exposure, Misdemeanor 2
– Harassment – Comm. Lewd, Threatening, Etc. Language, Misdemeanor 3

He remains lodged in the Clarion County Jail, unable to post $25,000.00 monetary bail.

Details of the case:

According to a criminal complaint filed on October 31, the investigation began after police received a report of alleged unlawful contact between Raymond Anthony Silvis and a 14-year-old girl.

The victim told police she received lewd Facebook messages from Silvis on March 5. She said that she began receiving the messages after she attended a function with Silvis and his girlfriend earlier that day, the complaint states.

According to the complaint, the victim told police that Silvis asked her “if she would ever do anything sexual and then asked how old she was.”

At this point, the victim told Silvis she was 14-years-old, the complaint continues.

Silvis then asked her to send naked pictures of herself to him, the complaint states.

When the victim declined, Silvis allegedly sent her a picture of his penis, according to the complaint.

Silvis was arraigned on November 20 with Judge Long Turk presiding,

He was then lodged in the Clarion County Jail on $25,000.00 monetary bail.
