TIONESTA TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Marienville-based State Police say a Tionesta man was arrested following an alleged incident of domestic violence that occurred on November 27 along State Route 62, in Tionesta Township, Forest County.

Marienville Police were dispatched to the above described location and the suspect — 35-year-old Scott Michael Penatzer, of Tionesta — fled the residence prior to their arrival, according to police.

A known female allegedly told police that Penatzer assaulted her.

After police left the residence, Penatzer returned, and PSP Marienville once again returned to the scene.

Penatzer barricaded himself inside the home, so Marienville Police used force to enter the residence; he was subsequently removed from the scene, according to police.

Court documents indicate he was arraigned at 8:00 p.m. on November 27 on the following charges:

  • Simple Assault, Misdemeanor 2
  • Resist Arrest/Other Law Enforcement, Misdemeanor 2
  • Harassment — Subject Other to Physical Contact, Summary

Unable to post $25,000.00 monetary bail, he was lodged in the Warren County Jail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on December 1.
